Catherine has been an avid practitioner of yoga and meditation for over 13 years.

Upon seeking a more meaningful purpose in life, she was suffering a health ailment unsolvable via Western medical specialists. It was during that time that she discovered firsthand the healing power of herbal medicine and immediately sought to find the science behind it. Through a series of synchronistic events, she was led to the ancient medicine of Ayurveda. Catherine continues to study integrative health sciences and will be a forever student of natural therapies & exploring alternative tools for self-healing.

Ayurveda is a holistic medicine, which means it includes the health of the mind, body, and spirit - and how they are intertwined and interconnected. In Ayurveda, it is said that any repressed, suppressed, or stagnant emotions in the mind will settle in the body and create what we call dis-ease. Given that we live in a society that has placed very little importance on mental health, it is Catherine’s core belief that the mind is the first place to start. Our bodies hold inherent wisdom, and they innately seek homeostasis - we just have to still the mind enough for us to be able to listen and to better hone our intuition. Every single cell in your body is listening to your thoughts. Begin your healing journey from a place of self-love and acceptance, and watch how the body follows suit.

You are the Earth’s deepest embodiment of magic.

Being raised in a Western environment, by a mother who was a Western nurse, Catherine fully understands some of the difficulties of applying this traditional medicine while living in a modern world. Therefore, she approaches healing from an integrative perspective, through using the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and in combination with modern tools.

Catherine received her certifications as an Ayurvedic Wellness Educator and as an Ayurvedic Practitioner from Southern California University of Health Sciences, where she was also an intern at the health clinic. She became a CA Licensed Massage Therapist & Bodyworker through IPSB at Life Energy Institute, and she studied Reiki with Aimee Bello of Altared Space. She graduated summa cum laude from East Carolina University, where she holds both a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts. Most recently, Catherine has continued her studies of Elemental Craniosacral Therapy with Brian Loftin in Asheville, NC.
